Welcome To The Jaguars Booster Club!
WHAT IS THE J.B.C.? We are simply the parents and friends of Genesis Prep students who want to encourage the development of the school's athletic program and support its student-athletes. Attending sporting events, helping with fundraising activities and promoting awareness of our athletic teams are some of the ways we accomplish this. There is no cost to be a JBC member and we want to make it fun for everyone who participates! How can you get involved? Either come to a meeting or phone our secretary (Julie Wilhelm), who will welcome you, take your contact information and share how you can contribute. Currently we are working on a "Sports Program" that will be published in the beginning of September featuring our Fall sports teams and advertising partners. For information on how to advertise in our Sports Program, click here NEXT MEETING: The next Jaguar Booster Club meeting is August 24th, at 7:00. The schools of the Mountain Christian League desire to put Christ first in our lives and to promote Christian character within our schools. Therefore we purpose to encourage student sportsmanship, further the spirit of cooperation between Christian schools. foster a common interest in sports and submit to the authority of God in our relationships with one another. Our desire is to encourage and challenge our student-athletes to “....love the Lord their God with all of their heart, with all of their soul, with all of their minds, and with all of their strength.” The Genesis philosophy is that a well-organized and skillfully directed athletic program will bring an added dimension to the teaching process. Sports offer the opportunity to teach physical fitness, sportsmanship, self-discipline, perseverance, diligence, emotional stability, community responsibility, teamwork and initiative. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable opportunity for as many students as possible to participate in both team and individual sports. At the same time, we desire to keep the program in perspective while competing at the highest level.
