Meet Our Partners

"The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered."  Proverbs 11:25

Partnerships

COMMUNITY  PARTNERSHIPS…..have become an exciting and essential part of private school education over the past decade. A combination of rising costs and organizational complexities have made it virtually impossible for private religious schools like GPA to sustain growth, provide contemporary learning tools and develop educational programs for the 21st century without them. In addition, a new joy has been discovered by local businesses and individuals wanting to play a part in developing young lives – those who someday will comprise our community leadership, operate its businesses and live as productive members of our neighborhoods. This has led our school to begin development of what we call “Barnabas Partnerships.”

Simply put, a Barnabas partner is either an individual or organization who encourages our school’s development through a financial investment or sharing of its expertise or products.  In the early days of the church the Bible tells us that one of its exemplary leaders was a man named Barnabas, which translated means “son of encouragement.”  This remarkable man not only contributed of his own personal wealth to help others in his faith community, but he also mentored such prominent leaders as Paul the Apostle and John Mark (the author of the second gospel account).  His consistent generosity made it possible for this fledging group of followers to sustain its remarkable numerical growth and quality of its leadership.

Our desire in developing “Barnabas Partnerships” is to both recognize and honor our partners and their contribution to our school community through a variety of ways.  First, we will be developing an “Honor Wall” in the school entrance so that all who pass through will be reminded to thank God for those that make quality education  a reality at GPA.  Second, we want to feature our partners on our website with a brief biography so that we may get to know them better.  Third, we want to invite them to attend and participate in key school activities and events, giving them an opportunity to interact with our staff and students in a meaningful way.  And lastly, as all families do, we want to have fun together!  Thus, we will encourage them to join us for such things as ski outings, BBQ’s, speech meets, dramatic and musical presentations, etc….

More information about how one can become a Barnabas partner will be found in an upcoming brochure.  In the meantime those interested can contact the school’s principal, Marc Goodwin, by calling the school office (208-692-0712 ) or by emailing him at principal@genesisprep.com.
