BOARD MEETING INFORMATION

Purpose of the Board of Directors

Genesis Prep Academy, like most independent schools, is governed by a Board of Directors.

The board is composed of representatives of the entire Genesis Prep community and includes current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, education professionals, Church leaders, and community volunteers who bring specific skills and perspectives to the board.
The Board of Directors, who have ultimate legal responsibility for Genesis Prep Academy. The Board focuses on the following five major areas:
- The maintenance of the school's mission and periodic reviews of the mission with input from a wide range of representatives of the school community;
- The establishment of institutional policy;
- The provision of material and financial resources for the school;
- The appointment and the support of the Principal;
- Act as the fiduciary and steward the care and effectiveness with which policies are carried out.

Board President

Jeremy and his wife Jinger have been happily married for ten years and have been blessed with three wonderful children. Mathis and Davin both attend GPA with plans for Savea to be attending in a couple of years. Jeremy and Jinger both own and operate Anthem Pacific Homes, a local homebuilding company that started in 2017. In addition to serving on the GPA board, Jeremy also leads a life group through Real Life Ministries and serves on his HOA neighborhood board. Both Jeremy and Jinger are excited to be a part of the GPA family and plan on seeing their children become alumni of GPA in the future.

Sabrina and her husband Jake met in High School. They have three children and are in their 4th year at Genesis Prep. Sabrina is a mortgage loan officer with Premier Mortgage Resources and helps people obtain homeownership. Sabrina and her family attend His Place. We feel so blessed to have our kids grow with Genesis. Sabrina has been on the board for over a year and served on PTF for three years. She enjoys all of the sports programs her kids are a part of.

Professional background: Currently work with the Relational Discipleship Network (RDN), directing Men's Ministry Catalyst
Previously a pastor at Real Life Ministries for 18 years (Sports and Outdoors, Church Training Team, Community Groups, High School Pastor and Young Adults Pastor).

Time involved with Genesis Prep: 12 years.

What inspired you to serve on the school board? My wife and I love our school. Our Genesis family has been instrumental in coming alongside us as we have raised our kids. It's true it takes a village. My heart is to see Genesis grow and thrive so future generations can benefit as much as my family has.

What’s your favorite book, quote, or inspirational saying?: John 15:5, I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Travis Anderson

Professional background: I've been in Sales Leadership for 15 + years and currently serve as a Sales Director for BSN Sports over the Pacific Northwest.

Involved with Genesis Prep: 8 years

What inspired you to serve on the school board? Genesis Prep has been home to our family since 2017 and we've got a great opportunity to continue the incredible legacy of the school for years to come.
